The Icon Map Catalog
The Icon Map Catalog is a public library of thousands of curated, ready-to-use geospatial layers hosted by Tekantis — boundaries, demographics, infrastructure, points of interest, and other reference data. You add catalog layers to a map from the Add a catalog layer panel.
Browsing and searching
- Search by keyword, or use AI search to describe what you need in plain language.
- Filter by tags and regions, and by geometry type (point, line, polygon).
- Some datasets are offered as switchable, multi-resolution groups with several variants (for example, boundaries at different levels of detail).
Each layer has an About panel with its source, license, tags, and often a video and a dataset page, plus a preview map.
Access tiers
Catalog layers are grouped into access tiers: Basic, Standard, Premium and Commercial. Each layer shows its tier and price, for example "Standard · 0.25 credits per session", and "Included in your plan" when your license covers it.
- Anyone can browse and preview every tier. Standard and premium layers preview in full; commercial layers preview a sample area.
- Your license is checked when you add a layer. If it does not cover the layer, Upgrade for access explains how to get it. Commercial layers open Commercial dataset, with Ways to buy.
- Layers are checked again when a map opens. A layer your license no longer covers is not drawn, and the map says which.
See Access tiers for which plans include which tiers, and Commercial data in Fabric for buying commercial datasets.
Using a catalog layer
Once added, a catalog layer can be fully styled, filtered, and bound to your own data. See Catalog layers for how to style a layer, bind your data to a boundary layer, and bring the underlying reference data into your OneLake.
